Abstract:With the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy, rural tourism has become an important way to promote rural economic development and to increase farmers’ income. However, the shortage of rural tourism talents and the imperfection of talent training path have become the bottleneck restricting the development of rural tourism. Taking Hunan Province as an example, this paper systematically analyzes the advantages, training modes, and existing problems of rural tourism talent training in Hunan Province, and discusses how to optimize the path for rural tourism talent training in Hunan Province. Results show that Hunan Province has rich and diverse rural tourism resources and high-quality training platforms. At the same time, Hunan Province has adopted an all-round on-the-job training programs and a three-dimensional “double-creation” incubation and training model, which has steadily improved the level of talent training business and innovation ability in the field of rural tourism in Hunan Province. However, there are some problems in the training of rural tourism talents in Hunan Province, including the shortage of rural tourism trainers, the lack of local courses related to rural tourism, the shortage of well-prepared professional tourism talents, and the poor connection among different talent training agencies. To optimize the training of rural tourism talents to implement rural revitalization strategy, this paper suggests: strengthening trainer training programs, creating more rural tourism training courses, implementing strategies to increase the pool for comprehensive and innovative rural tourism talents, and improving the cooperating mechanism among different rural tourism talent training programs.
