Abstract:The development of agricultural socialized services is an effective means of modernizing agriculture and rural areas, and promoting the comprehensive rural revitalization. This is of great significance to the high-quality development of China""s rural areas. Based on a panel data of 30 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) in China from 2007 to 2020 and the new development concept, this study explains the impacts of agricultural socialized services on rural high-quality development and explores the effects of agricultural socialized services on rural high-quality development by the fixed-effect model and the threshold-effect model. Results indicate that agricultural socialized services can improve the level of high-quality rural development. However, the effects of different types of agricultural socialized services vary. The promotion effect of agricultural socialized services on high-quality rural development shows a spatial pattern, with stronger effects in the central and western regions compared to the eastern regions. Additionally, the effects are more significant in regions with a higher proportion of agricultural and related industries, as well as in main grain-producing areas compared to non-main-producing areas. The impacts of agricultural socialized services on rural high-quality development exhibits a non-linear threshold feature based on agricultural socialized services, rural high-quality development, and the level of economic development. The promotion effect is stronger in less developed areas. Therefore, it is necessary to expedite the development of a new type of agricultural socialized service system, to enhance the scope and quality of agricultural socialized services, to reduce regional disparities in the provision of agricultural socialized services, and to promote high-quality rural development.
