This article overall described the concept and connotation of new type of urbanization starting from the “new” of new type of urbanization; the paper researched on several main modules of foreign urbanization development:government regulation and market dominant urbanization, low density sprawl urbanization by market predominates and excessive urbanization that lacked industry support, and then analyzed and summarized experience and lesson on development of foreign urbanization. On the bases of the above, this paper put forward the path choice on the development of new type of urbanization in China:following market concept and enhancing macro-control; changing the pattern of economic growth, and constructing production and city linkage; exploring on system, and providing guarantee measure to build urban-rural integrated development; forming subregional delegation-style development, and constructing the specific mode on the development of new type of urbanization.
