Suitability Evaluation of “Linking the Increase with Decrease in Land Used for Urban and Rural Construction” Based on Entire-Array-Polygon Evaluation Model

Abstract
In this paper, Entire-Array-Polygon Evaluation Model is introduced to evaluate the deconstruction suitability and construction suitability in Wuhan urban agglomeration which is the empirical study area by building the four grades evaluation system. According to the evaluation results, ‘excellent’, ‘better’, ‘general’ and ‘poor’ deconstruction and construction area are zoned and the schematic plan of linking the increase with decrease in land used for urban and rural construction comes out. The results show that it is easier to carry out the suitability evaluation by employing the Entire-Array-Polygon Evaluation Model and it can avoid the subjective factors in the evaluation process. In the short term, it is better to link the ‘excellent’ deconstruction areas (Ezhou and Qianjiang) with the‘excellent’ construction areas (Tianmen, Wuhan and Xiantao) in Wuhan urban agglomeration.
