The Study of Spatial Pattern and Urban Agriculture Industry - regional Model about Xi’an City

Urban agriculture has become an inevitable trend since Xi'an is developing to be an international metropolis. This study has analyzed the industrial structure of various industries within agriculture in Xi'an with the methods of location quotient and revealed symmetric comparative advantage index, which in order to determine the comparative advantages of quality grain, organic vegetables, fruit, agricultural and animal products and aquatic products in each district (county). Meanwhile, in the light of the development status of urban agriculture in Xi'an, relying on the external opportunities and endogenous motivations in the development of urban agriculture and combining the successful experience of domestic and foreign international metropolis in the development of urban agriculture, this study has also built the structure of three circle layers, which are landscape ecology circle layer, scale agriculture circle layer and featured plate circle layer. On the basis of this, industry - region development modes such as featured geographical space mode, industry collaborative organization mode and industry chain (net) sharing mode are proposed.
