Farming and Animal Husbandry Development Status, Existing Issues and Suggestion in Inner Mongolia at a New Historical Stage

Through quantitative analysis of the husbandry of the Inner Mongolia during the period of 1978-2010, this paper tries to analyze the development of farming and animal husbandry in Inner Mongolia. Extensive runs way, insufficient finance investment, low industrialization degree and fragile ecology are the major constraining factor in the development of agricultural modernization. Inner Mongolia must take flexible measures, bring into play regional and resource advantages, increase financial input, change the modes of production, increase training efforts of farmers and herdsmen and protect eco-system to achieve agricultural modernization. Finally solve the “agriculture, countryside and farmers” issues and achieve leap development of farming and animal husbandry of Inner Mongolia.
