Study on Reformation of Urban-Rural Dual Economic Structure and Integration Land Market and Its Policy Recommendations in China

The urban-rural dual economic structure is the result of many factors, which is gradually formed after years of evolution in China. The urban-rural dual economic structure has experienced four stages of evolution such as solidification, weaken, strengthening in the fluctuations, and rapid strengthening since the new China. The urban-rural dual land institution has a major impact on the economic structure such as solidification, suspension, re-strengthening, and aggravation during the period. Reformation of the current dual land market system and construction of integration land market are the inevitable choice that is promoting coordinated urban and rural development. To construction of the land market institution on the urban-rural integration need institution to protect: (1) building a micro-foundation for the unified land market; (2) strengthening government regulation and macroeconomic control. Finally, the paper puts forward policy recommendations on the construction of the urban-rural integration land market such as clearing property right of rural collective land, standardization government's actions, improving price mechanism of formation, establishment and improving a coordinated urban and rural intermediary service system, and maintain the Government's macroeconomic control and supervision and management and so on.
