Research on the level measurement and evolution characteristics of the green development of the dairy farming industry

  • Promoting the green development of dairy farming industry is an important way to help industry solve difficulties and achieve rural revitalization strategy. The paper defines the connotation of the green development of dairy farming industry from the two aspects of ecological environment impact and social economic benefits, measures the overall, multi-dimensional and regional green development levels of our country from 2009 to 2021 using data from 27 provinces, and explores its evolution characteristics by using the Dagum Gini coefficient, Moran Index and Kernel density. The results show that: 1) The green development level of dairy farming industry in China as a whole and in different production areas is on the rise, with the ecological environment impact level being higher than the social economic benefits, and the growth rate is lower than it. 2) The overall Gini coefficient of the green development of dairy cattle breeding industry in China has decreased, and the main source is the regional differences, with different levels of differences within and between different production areas. 3) The green development of dairy farming industry has spatial positive correlation, showing the characteristics of “high-high aggregation and low-low aggregation”, and the aggregation effect has weakened. 4) The evolution characteristics of the green development of dairy farming industry in the whole country and the five major production areas are different, but overall, it shows a trend of reduced regional differences and weakened polarization. Based on this, suggest to promote the green development level of dairy farming industry in China from three aspects: building a system guarantee system, formulating differentiated development strategies, and cultivating a technology empowerment system.
