Abstract: Hubei Province is one of the primary nation’s 13 grain production provinces (areas). Its integrated grain production capacity has an important influence on the national grain security. Based on the view of grain security, this paper analyzed the present situation and potential of its integrated grain production capacity, and put forward some suggestions and countermeasures on how to enhance its integrated grain production capacity. It shows that: through implementing the five projects, striving to create the core region of grain-producing and improving the six abilities, we can effectively improve the integrated grain production capacity of Hubei Province, and make its grain output increase 5 million tons in 10 years.
