Abstract: Using trend and comparative method to analyze the temporal variation and features of maize planting’s cost and benefit in Shandong Province in 1998to 2010, to reveal the relationship among the cost and benefit. The researching results shows that:(1)in Shandong Province, it enters into a period of high cost of maize planting to comparable with others provinces. The comparative advantage of cost trend is significant. Among them, advantage based on the invented cost is bigger and the actual substantial cost advantage gradually reduces. (2)In Shandong Province, the net profits to compare with the national average level is a significant advantage and it benefits mainly from two elements, which including the output value increasing higher than the total cost increasing and maize price rising.
