Abstract:
In order to explore elite germplasm for rice breeding, 95accessions of javanica rice originated from different countries or regions were sowed on eight different dates, and their agronomic traits including plant height, panicle length, panicles per plant, spikelets per panicle, grains per panicle, 1000-grain weight, seed set and days from sowing to flower were evaluated based on grey correlation degree analysis. The traits of an ideal variety Y liang you No. 1were taken as reference. The grey correlation degree of different cultivars and sowing date were evaluated and ranked using the grey correlation model. The agronomic traits of javanica rice were influenced by both genotypes and environmental factors, but the extent influenced by environmental factors was different among agronomic traits. The relationship between agronomic traits was also different in javanica rice; in order to breed high seed set rice, the plants with more grains per panicle and more panicles per plant should be selected. The elite javanica varieties including LABELLE-2, IR71217-24-1-2, IAPAR9, MUAT MENIA 16238, C711098, IRAT 109, MD762, MD756, KIYALEH and PANTIA were selected based on grey correlation degree analysis.
