Abstract:
To clarify the effects of different paddy soil types in double- rice cropping paddy field on grain yield and quality of late rice will contribute a great to rice production with high safety in different rice production areas. Therefore, the six long-term located experiments in paddy fields were made to investigate the effects of different paddy soil types including granitic sandy soil (GSS), grey clayey soil (GCS), purple clayey soil (PCS), red yellow clayey soil (RCS), yellow clayey soil (YCS) and alluvial sandy soil (ASS) on grain yield and quality of late rice in double- rice cropping paddy field with different paddy soil types. The results showed that there were not different on effective tillers numbers, grain number per panicle, seed setting rate, 1000 grain weight and grain yield in different paddy soil types. And there was a significantly positive correlation between chalky and dry weight of panicle. The largest grain yield was planted in RCS with 7570.46 kg/hm2, and sequences of late rice grain yield in different paddy soil types were RCS> ASS>GCS>GSS>PCS>YCS. The experiments indicated that the roughness and milled rice of late rice were increased in RCS and PCS, while the head milled ratio of late rice increased in GCS and ASS. And the gel consistency and protein were increased but the race of chalk, chalky and amylase were decreased in YCS. As a result, our results clearly demonstrated that the grain quality of late rice was improved in YCS
